La Belle Époque – vintage jazz to raise a glass and dream!
Between the sun-drenched streets of New Orleans and the cobblestone lanes of Paris, to the sounds of gypsy jazz, La Belle Époque will carry you out of time. A nostalgic voice, an enchanting clarinet, two jazz guitars, and a double bass take you back to the 1930s–1950s, when swing was making its way around the world!
This group passionately revisits the great classics of Benny Goodman—their musical signature—while also paying tribute to the genre’s icons: Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, Billie Holiday…
On the program: driving rhythms, moments of tenderness, and above all, lots of good vibes!
Annabel Rixen – clarinet & vocals
René Jacquot – guitar
Lihan Rochereau - electric guitar
Gildas Legarrec - double bass
Jazz, swing
Founded in 2019, the Holy Bounce Orchestra will skillfully introduce you to the golden age of Swing, when jazz and dance were an integral part of popular culture. From Duke Ellington to Count Basie, via John Kirby and Benny Goodman, H.B.O. pays tribute to the entire Swing Era and its great composers, in the purest acoustic tradition, transporting you back to the atmosphere of 1930s–1940s Harlem.
Under the direction of double bassist Pierre-Yves “Pierrot” Brondel, who provides the arrangements and lets his creativity run free, Holy Bounce brings together seven talented musicians who have been active on the Jazz, Swing, and Lindy Hop scenes for many years.
In a red-hot atmosphere, treat yourself—swing, dance until the end of the night, and let yourself be carried away by this gentle frenzy that flows from your ears straight down to your feet…
