1st part - Basilic Swing

 Jazz Manouche, Tzigane, Klezmer

Basilic Swing is shaking up Marseille’s vibrant and fast-growing gypsy jazz scene! Drawing inspiration from traditional Eastern European music, French chanson, and American jazz, the band delivers an energy that is at once intense, emotional, and irresistibly festive.

The soul of Basilic Swing lies in exploring the roots of gypsy jazz. Born from the fingers of the legendary Django Reinhardt, this unique style—often called “French jazz” by Americans—blends the swing of American jazz, the spirit of French musette, and the spellbinding melodies of Eastern European music. Heirs to a long itinerant tradition, Manouche and Romani peoples traveled through countries such as Hungary, Romania, and Russia, absorbing local sounds and crossing paths with other nomadic musicians, including klezmer players, interpreters of Ashkenazi Jewish music.

With two guitars, double bass, violin, and clarinet, Basilic Swing takes you on a vibrant musical journey at the crossroads of genres and cultures.

2nd part -  Luca Sestak

Jazz, blues, classical, pop and funk

Lucas has already stunned audiences at Jazz à Blauzac in the past, but he now returns not only as a good friend, but with a new format and maturity.

Luca Sestak is a phenomenon - pianist and composer may still be young, but he can already look back on a remarkable career: At the age of 11, he published his first videos of his piano playing on the Internet, which made him a young prodigy in the piano scene - today, he’s developed a mature artistic personality that has left this image far behind - already in his mid-20s, his music has taken him all over the world and brought him numerous awards.

With his new album "Lighter Notes" Luca cleverly shows how Chopin becomes funky, Bach would play in a jazz club while making the piano sound like you never thought it could - sometimes even by preparing the instrument with tape or felt for his original compositions.

Luca and his trio know how to captivate their audience: With youthful joy of playing and much charm they move between jazz, classical, pop, blues & funk and connects the genres humorously, without taking themselves too seriously.

On a journey from fiery virtuosity, which not infrequently pushes the piano mechanics to their limit, to soulful minimalism, where every chord gets under your skin, goosebumps are guaranteed.

Luca Sestak - piano

Michael Goldman - double bass
