Les Soirées de Blauzac is dedicated to organising an annual jazz festival on the first weekend of July, as well as several concerts throughout the year.
Over the past ten years, the Jazz à Blauzac festival has become a much-loved institution, recognised for its quality, professionalism and spirit of community. In 2025, following two years of pause and reflection, the entirely volunteer-run association relaunched the festival, which is now shared between two villages: Blauzac and Saint-Maximin.
And so Jazz en Uzège was born, the result of a collaboration between the Communauté de Communes du Pays d’Uzès (CCPU), Les Soirées de Blauzac and the Jour de Fête association in Saint-Maximin. The association now hopes to build on this momentum and gradually extend the festival to other villages across the Uzège. The spirit of the festival, however, remains unchanged: friendship, community and a passion for jazz.
Every year, numerous volunteers join the team, taking on a wide variety of roles, from drivers and artist hosts to ushers, bar staff and security coordinators. Everyone plays their part in making the festival a true community event, where everyone can contribute and help make it a success.
